Is this .30/06 stuff berdan or boxer? Corrosive?

    If you are ordering it, you will have up to about a 5% reject rate due to the corrosion on the cartridges due to the glue.

    Depends. If you order it on clips, probably none are corroded.

    Otherwise, 'up to' being the operative word. I've had some lots, 0 issues. Others had a few corroded. The inside powder was fine, I pulled for components and tossed the corroded brass.

    Good to know, but not my experience.

    I have fired 2,000+ rounds of 30-06 surplus from CMP. Mostly Greek, some Lake City. Have not had a failure to fire.

    Shot the Garand Match at Perry and they give you the Greek to shoot. Didn't get a medal, but that wasn't due to the ammo. I haven't had an issue with greek yet.

    The only problem I have buying the CMP ammo is that I never buy enough of it.[:)]

    How you buy it isn't a choice anymore. The only thing available now is the 192 rd. can on clips. All other options are gone.

    Just got (21 May) our clubs allocation (18 cans) for this years Garand matches. In sardine cans, in boxes of 20. Used some in a Match in Vermont Last week. Good stuff, IMHO shoots as good as LC match at 200 yards. A concern: It's a bit more potent than LC. In a rapid stage my operating rod got loose from the receiver / bolt. Guys at the match say that happens fairly frequently due to the higher pressures. Op rod comes back with enough force to knock it out of its slot when the bolt hits the back of the receiver. Maybe something to be aware of if nothing else.

    If you op rod dismounted you have a problem and its not the ammo!. You need to have the lug rebuilt on your op rod.
