crome or no crome?

I just got my hands on a 16" barrel for an M4 I'm building. The bore is polished, and not chromed. Is this a better set-up, or is chromed barrels allot better? I have been trained, and have heard, many ways of weapons care and cleaning; but what is the preferred method for cleaning and caring for a polished bore?

  Break it in properly and clean it as you would any firearm. Chrome lined bores don't need cleaning as often as non. a good polished bore might not need it as often either.
