Pellet / BB guns sales

My apologies if this topic is out of place.
I searched but could not find a decent answer for my question.
Do I have to sell pellet or bb guns through an FFL dealer?

    In most cases the answer is no. Federal laws, including the Gun Control Act of 1968, does not address the interstate sales/transfer of air guns so no FFL is needed. State and local laws vary widely on the sales of air guns, especially those which are considered to be "high power" (usually over 700 feet per second).

    As some localities restrict their sale, I would suggest asking for a drivers license photo, just to be sure you're not sending it to a juvenile. If someone finds that objectionable, I can live with that.

    No FFL necessary (ie ever).

    If you think about it, you can buy them off the shelves of most Wal-marts with no background check.

    The caveat is that some jurisdictions ban or restrict them.

    For example, IIRC, the State of New Jersey considers the Daisy "Red Rider" BB gun the same as a firearm, and you can't buy one without a license.

    If you intend to go into the business of selling these, its probably worth your while to look up the relevant laws per State to know where you can (and can't) ship these legally.
