remington 760 stock

Does anyone know if the stocks and forearms of a remington 7600 model fit a 760 model? If I'm deciphering the manufacturing code correctly, it was made in May 1969. It's a 308 caliber. Take a look at gun broker item 129902813 almost same style.

    The 760 was mfgd. in two configurations... Early and late...The 7600 may fit the later model 760, but most likely won't work on the early one..I'm sorry, but I don't remember the time periods for the different versions....

    I think it was 1970 when they went to a different magazine tube buttstocks will interchange but they change the drop not certain what year that took place either

    Just looked at a couple of mine the forearms look different I have one dated 1968 which uses different forearm then my 7600

    Suggestion. Call one of the stock manufacturers who make stocks for the 760 and 7600. Better yet call Remington, they should know. My bet is they are but the forend may require modification. Good luck.

    The easiest way to find out if you pull slide back is the magazine tube exposed if so it is the older style and the 7600 will not fit
