bought one off gunbroker recived the gun noticed that itwas binding after removeing the slide found the spring was the cause after replaceing the guns action is better but after loading a mag and cycleing the slide the rounds champers the 1st round but will not eject the rd from the gun

  If your talking about the Colt? Try actually firing it to see if it still malfunctions. Generally the problem you describe is caused by the extractor, not having a secure contact with the rim of the cartridge. This might be caused by any number of things. Try cleaning the chamber really good with a bronze bore brush. Make sure the extractor isn't broken, is clean and moves freely.

  thanks i wanting to know if the gun should eject a live round from the chamber when the slide is racked

  It is SUPPOSED to, but a lot of .22s do not have good extractor engagement and will not do it. I bet it will come out when shot. You just have to be careful when done shooting that it is really and truly unloaded, you might have to fire the last shot to get rid of it.
