Bersa Thunder .380 CC Magazine

I have a Bersa Thunder .380 concealed carry. It works great so far, put about 300 rnds thru it and never a problem shooting. However, suddenly now when the slide is open and I eject the magazine, it closes the slide. Someone told me that the magazine may be damaged and to get a new one, but not so sure if that is the case. Has anyone else had this problem?

  It might be the follower on the magazine is not engaging the slide stop correctly? Or more likely there is a slide stop spring that isn't putting tension on the slide stop, for some reason? If it is the slide stop spring not the magazine, the pistol will have to be disassembled to either replace or fix the spring.
