Remington Baikal 410 Single

I've never seen one like this - Marked Remington and Baikal on the receiver - Single-shot 410 - shoots 2-1/2" & 3" shells - barrel breaks open with lever incorporated in and to the rear of the trigger guard - forearm detaches manually and takes the gun and barrel in two - very clean - seller wants $80.00 - I don't see much history for this piece although there are Baikal doubles and 22/shotgun combos on GB. I'd like to have someone's opinion - is it "junk" - how bad can it be for $80.00? Thanks.

  Sounds like a deal to me. I know that Remington is no longer importing and putting their name on the shotguns and bolt action mausers and mini-mausers.
  
  If you need a single shot .410 go for it.

  It is not a fine peice, but it is a fine $80.00 shotgun. Utilitarian and serviceable.

  Thanks guys for the positive advice - I bought the shotgun - about 13" LOP - shoots nicely - came with three partial boxes of fine-shot shells (a nice bonus at today's prices for a box of .410 shot shells) - 3" & 2-1/2" chamber - extractor works well with fired hulls and unfired shells - a true take-down shotgun - Best regards, Tim
