Makarov experts?!?!?!
Today I traded for a Russian Makarov. It was still in the cosmoline. It has 1976 stamped on it and has a circle with a triangle inside it. It does not have adjustable rear sight and does not have import markings. Blueing is perfect and rifling is excellent.
I've only got $200 in it from the trade and I'm wondering if I should put it up for a keeper or let me wife keep it for a shooter seeing how she fell in love with it.
Any info would be helpful.

You got a real sweet deal, for $200. Russian military Makarovs like this one, are C & R qualified. They were made at the Izhevsk arsenal. Not nearly as common as the commercial imports from the 90's. If it's original, in the condition you say, easily double your money from a collector. If you keep it as a safe queen, you will be better off then giving it to the old lady.
