Winchester 1873 22 rimfire
There is an auction coming up in a couple of weeks here. They will have a Winchester 1873 22 rimfire in the auction. I have seen different prices as listed in many books but what are they actually selling for. The rifle is complete and in good shape. The owner died and his widow will not allow anyone to look until the day of the auction. Please advise of your knowledge of prices for this rifle.

check the bore it was the era of black powder 22 shells.. might be rough 0 -
The possible value range is quite large, and without actually seeing the gun (or a quality set of pictures), it is not possible to say what it is truly worth. That said, you should figure on it starting at a minimum of $1500, and most likely doubling that number before the auctioneer shouts "Sold!" 0 -
Like has already been said...it depends on condition. Both inside and out. If the bore is good, and everything is functional it could well be worth multiples of $1500.00. Even if the bore is shot out, and the rest is all OK, the bore can be relined...What a shooter that will be.

If I'm not mistaken, there was an incomplete one, paired w/a 1890/1906 hybrid, both sold as "parts guns" up for auction a few weeks back. I think the pair went for $100.'ish.
I'd bet it's hard to find parts for 1873 .22 .0 -

I NEED SOME PARTS FOR MINE . THERE WAS ONE LAST YEAR I SAW GO FOR 9000.00 BUT THE CONDITION WAS WONDERFUL0
