thrown together 1911

i am looking at a 1911 that is a product of many donors. the two most important are slide and frame. i feel that the frame is colt but the only marking is the serial number on the right side above the trigger guard. the slide is a national match, but not a gold cup. the rear sight is adjustable, but not eliason. small parts seem to be from the same era as the frame. the barrel bushing is marked N7267718M. anyone have any thoughts?

    Hello colt as well as most clones have a method in their serial number scheme With letters numers and FONT on the numbers with a picture we might be able to tell who's frame it is Colt also has inspector markes on the sides of the trigger guard. Now as to the Slide Colt made National match pistols from the late 1920's up to WW II and then Pre Gold cup slides also were stamped National Match on top of that the military contracted for match grade parts Slides Barrels Sights ETC these usually had DRAWING numbers but made by different people> I think close up in focus pictures and I will be able to tell you what you have .AT LEAST I WOULD LIKE TO TRY.
