C&R Question

I've got a m-92 win. up for auction here (#46161756) that has been copletely rebuilt but to all original spec's. it this still c&r transferable. A potential bidder wants to know. thanks.

    Yes, send in the renewal. You just can't use it until you get the new license or a letter of extension.

    Spider: can you take the time to answer a few New York Questions?

    Is having an 03FFL beneficial to me doing F2F purchases [of a valid C&R firearm] at a NY gunshop? At a NY gunshow?

    If I purchase [again a valid C&R firearm] out-of-state, can I "walk" with it? Or will it have to be shipped to an 01FFL in NY?

    NY doesn't honor the 03FFL for handguns. Am I correct in that assumption?

    Hi, Joe. Yes, your C&R is a federal license and you can buy a C&R eligble longarm at a gun shop, show, out of state, etc. However, you're correct that NY State doesn't recognize C&R's for handguns so you have to go through a Type 01 dealer using your CCW permit.
