I need a parts source

I have a Cetme Sporter .308 that needs a "slide" (not sure if that is the correct term). It appears to be stuck and will not eject the shell casing. The gun smith that has looked at it is so far behind that he hasn't had the opportuinty to locate the needed part or parts so I am trying to locate a source to save him time in looking for it.

The info on the gun shows the following: CETME Sporter .308, Century Arms Inc, Georgia,VT USA. The serial number is C40732.

I would appreciate any help.

    Well unless we know the part, and slide is not it, we cant really guide you. However, Century Arms might have some parts laying around. You might want to give them a ring.

    Otherwise tell us the part and we can go from there.

    Keeping your finger off the trigger...
    Can you hook the charging handle on something solid and violently push the rifle forward? Thinking that should clear your jam.

    Or is the charging handle all the way to the rear and it's still jammed?

    I think I saw Cetme kits recently, maybe in Shotgun News. I forget the company but they always run a 4 page or more parts advertisement.

    Do not place the charging handle against anything and push the rifle violently. The correct method is to remove the buttstock and trigger pack, place a 1/4 inch dowel down the barrel and strike it with a mallet.

    NO MATTER WHAT!

    You need to leave the firearm with a gunsmith that is competent with this type of gun. It appears that you have a headspace issue. This is very dangerous.

    Man that would suck if someone is shooting at you. So much for common sense and HK style rifles.
