DPMS AR-15 Scope?!?

I have a optic ready AR-15 and i am wondering what scope to go with i see some EOTECH scopes are available but i don't know what scopes are the best for my rifle Any help?? Thanks

    This is kind of a vague question. What is your main purpose for this rifle?? Are you on a budget or is the sky the limit?? Is this going to be used for home protection, target shooting, shooting cans, hunting. Do you want a scope or some holographic sight you mentioned Eotech there is no magnification on these unless you add a magnifier of some kind. Most scopes can be good for 1 or 2 things not really good for every situation. Please be more specific.

    Well Armilite kinda covered it, If it is a 24" bull barreled flat top an Eo tech may not be the best choice. A nice 2.5-10x40 scope would be a better choice.


    If it is a 16" or 20" medium or pincle contour barreled AR first a folding Back up iron sight. this is very important Iron sights never need batteries!

    and then an EOTech, Aimpoint, or trijicon Acog or something else that is practical would be good choices.

    If you plan on useing a magnifier I would recomend a new model EOTech with the half length mounting base so that the battery compartment can be mounted forward of the delta ring, Or a Aimpoint ML-3 and a high quality goose neck mount.

    The first thing you should do is get a good back up iron sight. The cheapest I'd recomend is the Midwest industries ERS.
