Aero Precision AR Lowers
Anyone have an informed opinion on this manufacturer's quality? Aero Precision AR lower receivers are going for about $120. CMMG lower receivers are going for $140. Are these good prices?

I don't know about this company but will only say this: at the current stage of ar crazy, I think you could sell something made in the garage with a file and a Dremel. Keep in mind there are many parts contractors which produce ar parts for the "big names". Some of those contractors probably have as good or better production equipment as the name brands. I respect their attempts to get a bigger piece of the pie by selling to the consumer. The quality of the machining must be matched by the application of the finish to get a good, durable receiver. 0 -

Sandwarrior - Apparently they do not have a web site. They are CNS specialists and the lowers are forged.
DCS - Do I take it from your response they are good lower? How many do you want?0 -
Here's a paranoid thought. If the democraps stay stupid... off brand receivers with odd ball names are less likely to get banned the next time around. The next big ban will probably be by type instead of name brand.
The only problem with owning off brand receivers is that resale value down the line will not be there as the lack of name recognition is huge.
I currently have 2 off brand receivers I bought for $75 each a few years ago. I will probably build them up when I get back but think I would rather have a name branded receivers.
Summary-- pay the $20 more for the CMMG receivers.0
