? on French Gun Maker
Trlying to find information on a french double shotgun. I have checked Google and no luck. The name is J. LeJene Fauve Arms. Any info especially as to quality would help.

It's possible that this is a shotgun from Belgium, Godefroid J. Lejeune Fauve Arms.
There should be proof marks in all the proper places on a shotgun:
- water table
- under the forearm
- under the breech end of the barrels.
Make some sharp photographs of the proof marks and we can help with more information. The first one to look for would be the capital letters 'ELG' in an oval.

I beleive that it may be Belgian. The information is via phone from a third party. With many of the Belgian "Market" guns being made for export and inexpensive I am trying to determine if this is a qualilty piece. I know it's next to impossible without photos. This is part or an estate and I am getting calls as each comes out of the closet. They are 1300 miles from me so I am trying to determine if a trip is worthwhile. Thanks 0 -
