Eotech copies
Has anyone tried one of the Eotech clones? I'm thinking of buying one for my gsg5. Thanks for any help you can give.

Bushnell makes a sight that looks alot like an Eotech and it uses the same holo tech.
Be careful with the knock offs. those lasers inside them can complete screw up you eyes.0 -
I had one of the clones for a short time and it was okay. I don't know how it would have held up over the long haul as I sold it. Most of them have only 5 brightness settings so it didn't work real well on a bright day. There more suited for soft air or pellet guns.
The only thing I liked about it was that it had both the red and green reticle. Sold it for what I paid for it and since then I bought 4 Bushnell M&P red & green sights with the T reticle just love them.0 -
This is your typical get what you pay for deals....I have an Eotech 512 and I love it, works great on my black rifle...takes AAs instead of the N batteries like the 511/551...got mine new off e b a y for $340 so hunt and you can find a deal for the real Mccoy....
As far as the clones... NC Star clones a bunch of different style scopes/reddots/holo sights....I've owned a couple of those on my plinker guns and for the money they were actually pretty good quality and held their zero..they usually include detailed instructions, tools and two batteries too..they make a comp m4 clone for about $50 and some other styles. You can find them on ebay or at gun shows0 -

Eotech told me at the SHOT Show that they make the Bushnell sight. I had one, and liked it.0
