where to check leaglity

Someone in MN wants to buy my tec 9 w/30 rd clip. I've never sold a gun online before. How do I check to make sure it's a legal transfer ?

It has to be transfered through a 01 FFL in MN. If Tec 9's are prohibited in MN, it won't be transfered simple as that. The 01 FFL who receives the pistol, is responsible for the legality of the transfer. The same as if he was actually selling it from his inventory of guns.

If you want to be sure before actually sending the pistol, contact the FFL through the information on the copy of his license, that is sent to you.

thx for the link NWCID. It defines Tec 9 as an assault rifle, then later, another paragraph says that you cant have an assault rifle if you are under 18 etc. so I guess it's legal..
