Winchester Mod 24

Has the Mod 24 ever come with any kind of inlay in the stock and fore arm. Also when you break it to load it and snap it back does the top leaver automatically lock into place or do you have to push it back.

  In answer to your first question, the probability of a factory stock inlay is very very small.
  
  In answer to your second question, the release lever should return to center.
