can i shoot slugs out of a full choke 12 ga reming

can i shoot slugs out of a full choke 12 ga remington 1100 - it does not have a screw in choke

    Yes, New rifled slugs can be fired from as much of a constriction as full choke. Remmington sluggers specify on the box that they can be.

    I have a friend that has a 30" full choke bbl on a Remington 1100 that shoots slugs like a rifle at 100yds. Can't remember the brand but all you can do is try different brands and see how they work. Good luck.

    Factory-loaded slugs are sized to pass through a full choke.

    Some choked guns shoot slugs with more accuracy than others. There is a theory, which seems right, that says because an undersized slug actually bears down the bore unpredictably as to just where (left side, right side, etc.) and then hits the 'bump' (the choke), that everything should be a flyer. It doesn't always work out that way, and many choked guns shoot slugs as well as cylinder-bores do. Go figger.

    From what I have seen that is right, the choke has little to do with how accurate slugs will shoot.
