Stoeger Luger

Not to hijack the other Luger thread: My Stoeger .22 is real steel and real blue. I just stuck a magnet on it and it sticks on all parts. Serial #67375.

Now I have not shot it much and with the cheep 22 ammo I used, it jammed a lot. I will get it out maybe tomorrow, with some hot ammo and see how it does. Will report on it later. Tom

    Is there any data that shows the date of manufacture by serial number of the Stoeger 22 caliber Luger?

    Mine worked fine,,mag seemed a bit "flimsy" but worked fine...if my memory serves me corrextly...I think you will like it..nambu

    The 9 mm looks like a pretty much part for part match with the originals, the 22 is a different gun entirely and ever since they came out I've heard "it doesn't work" stories about the 22.

    I'm going to buy some MecGar mags for it, they're always good quality. I'll limit myself to FMJ ammo, not exactly going to use this for defense or target work so I'll skip any JHP stuff.

    I have the Stoeger 22 luger. It is entirely different - basicly only a shadow image as the bolts and toggles work different.
    Also no locked breech on the 22 (short recoil unlock on the 9, blowback on the 22).
    That said , it's totally reliable and fun to shoot.
    They once were cheap now just try to by one under $250.
