miltary 5.56 x 45 shooting in Winchester 70 .223

Anyone know if military ammo can be shot in a Winchester 70 Lightweight 223 without experiencing high pressure problems? Have you heard of anyone experiencing negative results? Thanks for your knowledge. billysim47

  Wait to hear from an expert. However I doubt that a mass produced rifle will have that tight of a chamber.

  If the rifle says .223 on it, that's what I'd shoot. 5.56 fired out of a .223 can cause higher then normal pressure.
