Anyone try out the new 220 in 22LR, I am looking at buying this vs. mosquito, and like the 45acp. as well, just looking for some feed back on use.

I have only heard of them and seen pics. Are they actually out yet?

Sorry I was thinking wrong. I was thinking about the new .22 rifle they are coming out with that looks like the 55x series. I believe they are calling it a 522.0 -
Yes, there are quite a few on the auction, I just wanted to know if some one actually used the gun and what the feed back is, I know the 220 itself is very strong, but when it comes to rim fire, I just want to make sure it kicks out the empties. 0 -
If none of our folks can help you, might try posting to www.rimfirecentral.com they have a specific forum for Sig rimfires. There have been a number of topics/discussions regarding the 220 rimfire. I believe they also make it in a conversion unit. 0 -
I've never seen the dedicated P220 .22LR pistol but I have owned a 9mm P220 with the factory .22LR conversion as well as a conversion for .45 acp for many many years. The .22 kit requires that you replace the standard take down lever with a special lever which will work with the kit as well as all the centerfire slide assemblies. Once the lever has been switched it is a simple matter to replace the .22 slide/barrel assembly for the 9mm and with a .22 magazine you are all set to shoot (shooting the .45acp "kit" is much more involved). All of the factory kits I have seen are set up for the "European" heel release magazine and not the frame mounted push button type.
