Armalite 1st Gen/2nd Gen Mags

Hello Forum,
Can someone tell me the changes that were made to Armalite AR10 mags? Will the older 1st Gen style work in new AR10 rifles?

  I'm pretty sure the only change to the magazine was an improved follower between the first and second generation mags as there isn't a whole lot you change change besides the floor plate and the magazine spring. All of the magazines will work in the new style AR10 as made by Armalite and Armalite clones.
