Westernfield 895 lever action 22
I am trying to find some information on a westernfield 895 lever action 22. I bought it at an auction and we (FFL and I) can't find a serial number on it anywhere. The gun doesn't look all that old and is in very good shape. Has a pronghorn scope on it and it's a really neat looking lever. Thanks in advance for any info. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

If it was made prior to 1968, there was no legal requirement for a serial number. Many inexpensive rifles and shotguns made prior to 68, aren't serial numbered. Your FFL doesn't have to sweat it, it's very common with older long guns. 0 -
Thats it Bigloop. I took her out shooting last evening and it's a great shooter. I like it better than the henry that I had. I don't know what the FFL put on the form for the serial number, but he let me have the gun anyway. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. 0 -
On the #4473 form where it asks for serial number you simply write NONE.[:)] 0
