Anyone with some experience shooting one of the Remington Spartans?

    HEY! Does anyone know if Remington is still importing the Spartan line of shotguns? I emailed remington and was told they are but not as many. When I ask why it was not on their web or in the 2009 catalog or where I could get info on them I got no response on first asking. On second attempt I was told that they did not know. What kind of answer is this. I own a SPR 220 20ga. and really like it (300 shells no problems) and mite like to have a 12ga. SPR 220. Any help? Any ideas?

    Try GOOGLEING, "Remington Spartan Shotguns". You might luck out and come up with a dealer or distributor, that still has some in stock.

    Try finding one on the auction side of this site. I am sure they are there, as they are not really all that popular of a shotgun, even though they are well built for the the price...even though Remington has almost doubled the price of the same shotgun EAA was importing.

    Dang that sure sounds like Reminton, hope they don't do that with Marlins too

    I was told by Remington customer services in Feb. that they were no longer importing that line of firearms. I was able to find several Spartans NIB on the auction side.

    HEY! Thanks guys. I have been looking here but have sofar only found the 20ga. in the longer hunting barrels and really want another double trigger because the mechanics of the gun sem to work better than their single trigger. I have heard from friends that their single triggers would some double fire. I really like this gun for the price and it fits me well but not as good as my hand me down (grandfather, father, me) 1915 "Elsie" that my grandfather bought new (two of them) when my father was born. I shoot one my brother shoots the other on dove and quail. And it is a hoot at field trials as people can't belive I am going to shoot such a nice old 20 in a field trial. Shoot what you hit with.Remember; Let the dog hunt. You hunt the dog.
