Smallest quality 9mm, 40 or 45
Hi fellow enthusiasts,
I would greatly appreciate any info on the "smallest" quality 9mm, 40 or 45.
The size of the LCP is nice but hesitant on going down to a 380.

Well RS gave you a good gun for sure.
I had carried either a full size or a Colt Mustang for years based on how I was dressed. While the Mustang was great it was heavy and after reading a lot about the Keltec 3AT I decided to give one a try. I really like it.
With the Mustang I would have it out of my pocket any time I was just sitting or driving or not actually out and about. With the Keltec the ONLY real time it leaves my pocket is when I am switching pants. It is super light, super thin, super concealable, just a good gun.
I have never been a fan of the "compact" versions of full size guns but with that said I just bought one a couple months ago. I ended up getting a S&W M&P 9c (compact 9mm) and love this gun. Unlike most compacts it fits my hand very well and the sights just line up for me. To me ANY gun you want to use for carry should do this, it needs to fit YOU, not what someone else says is the best.
I have been carrying the M&P for about 6 weeks now and 2 of it with a good holster. This gun feels like it has less recoil then my Glock 17 (9mm full size). It is a very reasonable weight. Wearing my Carhart pants the gun will fit in my front pocket ok. It would not be good for all day carry but it gives you an idea on size. I ordered a good IWB (in the waist band) holster for it. I have been strong side carrying this way for about 2 weeks now and a good holster makes a ton of difference. With the holster properly adjusted I am able to comfortably carry all day and the gun is concealed under just a T-shirt.
I am going to do a review on this combo hopefully in a week or so when I have time to put a few more rounds though it and take some pics.0 -

The Kel-Tec .380 is a great little gun, and loaded with proper ammo it is good enough to use as a carry gun. Rohrbaugh and Seecamp both make great .380's, but cost a small fortune. Springfield XD's are top quality, and come in both .40 and .45 cal from 3" to 5" bbls. 0 -

Rohrbaugh's are 9mm's, not .380's.0 -
Take a look at the Kahr P-9 or P-45. I have both and carry one or the other. If you need something smaller Kahr has both in the PM series. 0 -

Glock 26 or 27....The G36 is a nice size .45 but it is not that small 0 -
THE G36 HAS TOTAL STOPPING POWER BUT IT HAS A SHORT HANDLE FOR ALL THAT POWER 0 -
I did a fair amount of looking around, the Kahr MK9 or MK40 or whatever they're called in polymer frame mode are very, very small. If you can get one that works and don't mind the self inflicted pain when you practice there's the AMT DA only Back up in 45 ACP. 0 -
tried several,kept kahr pm9 (not p9)
u did not ask but my favorite pocket carry is ruger lcr,by a big margin.
i had lcp but got rid of it ,same reason a u dont buy it.
