Scope for a Browning Buckmark?
I put this question up on General Discussion in error. It belongs here. I want a "plinker" scope for my Buckmark w/o spending too much. What do you suggest? Thank you!

My suggestion is to NOT get a scope if this is a Buckmark pistol but rather a RED DOT scope a conventional scope is very hard to keep a full field of focus"the sight picture will go black " if even slightly misaligned . A red Dot is much easier to use on a pistol and bulls-Eye shooters use them on a 3inch 10 ring one handed at 50 yards.
Hello sorry I cannot at this time recommend a cheap priced scope at this time . I shoot mine in pistol matches and can't afford to have an equipment break down . Like wise on the ones I hunt with . I use Gilmore and some my friends use ULTRA-DOT with good results . Both of these brands will stand up to thousands of rounds even when mounted on the slide of a 1911. I personally have seen many BSA and N.C. Star that broke very quickly another note thete are different DOT sizes for me I like a big dot as it does not seem to dance around as much but others with steady HOLD like small dot.0 -

Not sure what you mean by too much but the Burris fastfire is just the ticket for that gun. I have tried a couple of cheep sights with poor luck as most are hard to see the dot in at arms length.0 -
Burris Fastfire II at Natchez was as cheap as I could find. I have one on a 94 and like it. 0
