colt 1911 slide
i have a 1911 slide with no rear sight. here is the problem it has been cut to these demensions. 65 degree angle cut x .550 longx .240 hight to top of slide, with overall length of .750 from begining of cut to end of slide.the slide was made in 1957,bytheway,it is the slide that came with 38spcl wadcutter barrel. was this a special target/ competition sight,and where can i locate it[:(][?]

Contact the customer service folks at www.brownells.com They carry rear sights made for different size dovetails. They will be able to tell you if you have a standard sized, or custom made dovetail. 0 -
Hello it sounds like you may have a slide that was modified by a gun smith . The only 38 special barrel that colt made was for their MID RANGE 38 gold cup type slide . and the barrel was a straight BLOW-BACK action the slide had NO locking lugs many target guns were made using converted 38 SUPER SLIDES does your slide have any markings WORDS etc this may be a colt clone slide and barrel. 0 -
it is a colt 38 super slide brownells does not have it any where elseto look . 0
