Here's ANOTHER Iver Johnson
Just purchased an Iver Johnson .22 Supershot Sealed Eight. Serial number is 1770 on the trigger guard and on the frame under the grip is L 1770. The gun has some issues, but I think I can make a good shooter out of it. Gunsmith friend of mine is making a couple of pieces for it. Any information would be appreciated.

Most problems with this type of revolver are broken trigger return spring and broken hand spring. If you're handy you can make both at home. 0 -
22 supershot sealed eight serial number L 1770 was manufactured in 1932, there were 4,500 manufactured that year. parts except for barrel, cylinder and firing pin are the same as the third model large frame safety automatic revolver. the only part that would not be readily available is the firing pin. the value listed below is for your information as they are based on revolvers in original condition that do not need repairs.

Height with out grips 3 7/8 inches; Frame length 5 inches; Overall length 10 _ inches. The 1938 catalog gives this model as well as others Model numbers: Model 88 fixed sights, Model 833 adjustable rear sight, Model 834 adjustable rear sight and adjustable finger rest. . Main serial number location on left side of grip frame grips must be removed to see. First Models will have serial numbers below L26601
