What have I got? Iver johnson?
I asked about this revolver before, assuming it was an Iver Johnson. Now I'm not so sure. Snub nose .22, owl grips,but owl is rotated 90%,breaktop,vry small frame, No markings on barrel or indication there ever were any,although some blue is left. Serial #6966 on trigger guard,K6966 under left grip.Threaded hole on bottom of grip for a lanyard.I have photos,but the paper clip for attachments is not appearing any more ,if you know what I mean. The serial # indicates a DOM about 1930,but I don't understand the lack of markings on the barrel. It has not been reblued. Any halp would be appreciated.

Look closer, could be the barrel has been shortened to the point that all lettering was cut off or whats left of it is under the front sight does the front sight look factory installed? 0 -
I compared the barrel to one for sale on the internet and it looks like some of the address would appear on the barrel even if shortened. The front sight is not forged as part of the barrel rib, but I don't know how these were made.The end of the barrel rib is not flush with the end of the barrel. It ends about 1/8"short. Sorry I can't describe it better. By the way ,this is a seven shot. 0 -
in your other post (see my last post there) about this revolver you failed to mention the threaded hole in the bottom of the grip strap. this is not for a lanyard but the screw hole for the attachment of the one piece walnut grip that was standard on the 22 supershot manufactured between 1928 and 1941. this is another indication this revolver has been altered from its original form. if you can't post pictures here send them to my e-mail address goforth2@peoplepc.com
