.17 mach-2

Can you put .17 mach-2 bullets in a butler creek 10/22 hi-cap magazine? Also do you think that it will feed correctly?

  Don't know bout the BC but I've loaded 17 M2 in eagle 10's & 25's and they worked. I haven't shot very many or very fast but they did work.

  SAAMI specifications call for a case length of .714" and the same 1.0" cartridge overall length as the .22 Long Rifle cartridge, so the .17 M2 will function in existing .22 LR magazines and actions. Maximum average pressure is held to .22 LR levels, so pretty much any rifle or handgun chambered for the .22 LR could be adapted to the .17 Mach 2. Works fine in my factory Ruger magazine, no doubt it will function well in your after-market one as well.

  In my experience you'll get jams. A friend of mine has the 10/22 in 2lr and 17 M2, he's always optimistic about getting the thing to run but around round 10 or 15 the thing jams up.

  I have finaaly built my .17 mach 2 and it is kickass! I tried the hi-cap magsand they did not work but the Butler Creek 10 round mags work flawlessly.
