I came across a Colt Detective Special in blue, tapering 3" barrell (how common are these?), unshrouded ejector, very few scratches, little tarnish, no holster wear, funky pearl like handles, and original cardboard box.

Dear PP...a Colt Detective Special with box for $225? Hard to tell w/o photos, but unless something drastically wrong with the pistol the deal reminds me of the time I bought a 16' boat from a drunk for $50...including the trailer! Go for it! Good shooting! 0 -
How fickle, I remember when you were a S&W guy, but any pretty pearl grips can turn your head.
You do know that Patton said only a pimp or a Mississippi gambler would have pearl grips, right?

sheesh ANOTHER Detective Special--this makes what like 3 Colts in a row? I say buy it and ditch those grips for a set of elk bone
