premier ambassador shotgun
Does anyone know what the value of a Premier Ambassador, made in spain, 12ga double barrel, side by side, double gold plated triggers, highly engraved, ser#13660, 26" barrel. I received this gun in 1965 and it was used then.

According to the Blue Book, Premier is a name used by both Spanish and Italian companies. The Ambassador was one of their low end models, made in the 50's. My older BB, has it priced in the $300/$500 range. Depending on condition.
Their is a couple shotgun forums, "Shotgun World" and "Double Gun Journal". Many European collectors hang their. Check with them, It might be worth more money, on the other side of the pond.0 -
Unfortunately this type is a gun made for the trade. Some are of fairly good quality but even they suffer from a generally poor reputation whether deservedly or not. You might compare this type to the Belgian offerings of a century or more ago. Some were better than others, but all trade guns of that era are mostly blessed with the same poor reputation.
Value? Like it or not we can compare your shotgun to a low line Chevrolet of the early 80's. Depending upon how the car has survived it may still be serviceable. Unfortunately with a little six, basic (austere) interior, and not much else to recommend it, value and demand will be very low.
I think others have pretty much nailed it. If the gun is in reasonable condition and locks up tightly, then probably it will bring somewhere in the $300 to $400 range. At best this is a utility piece to be taken afield and used (or abused).0
