SKS to California
Can I ship a Norinco SKS to a buyer in California? The rifle has a 10 round magazine & the bayonet lug is intact but no bayonet is attached.

As long as it does not have a detachable magazine (either original or added on) or a grenade launcher (such as found on the Yugoslavian rifles) then SKS carbines are unrestricted in CA. As far a C&R is conncerned the state of CA only recognizes firearms which are over 50 years old as being Curio and Relics, simpley being on the BATFE C&R list won't cut it. I doubt that your rifle is over 50 years old so the answer is no. 0 -

California uses the same definition of a C&R firearm as the Feds. The California Penal Code references 18USC and 27CFR for the definition of a C&R firearm. If the Feds say a firearm is C&R, then so does California.
The confusion comes in because only C&R rifles and shotguns over 50 years old can be shipped directly to California C&R FFL holders. All other C&R firearms must be transferred through a dealer.
It's not a matter of C&R definition so much as a matter of transfer restrictions.

It also has to have the pinned in 10 shot clip.None with the ak mags are allowed. 0
