    I was looking at them myself here recently and noticed they seemed to have a lot in common with the Weatherby Vanguard/Howa 1500's. It seemed to me they had an extractor like the Savage though that was machined into the front of the outboard lug. A ball and spring under a notched plate that slid into grooves cut on either side of the front of the lug. They seem pretty solid. I would like to get a little more info on who is building them. I know nothing about the barrels and the stocks seem to be the latest in plastic injection moulding with rubber covering in some places. Overall my impression of them isn't bad, I just need to know as well who makes them.

    I have one and it is one of my better shooters. I use it for when the weather is nasty for the money hard to find fault with it the trigger is real good for a 300.00 rifle. As far as I know Marlin makes them in house

    I have one in 30-06 and even though it is a bit light, recoil is still quite manageable due to the excellent recoil pad. Also, after a very short break in period, my rifle will knock the center out of a nickle at my 100 yard range with anything I put through it from 165's to 180's, factory or handloads. Like savage170 said, tough to beat for $300. A great buy in my book regardless of who is putting all the parts together.
