opinions on Fiocchi 9mm 130gr ammo
I bought alot more fiocchi 9mm 130gr ammo than I needed. A buddy was suppose to go in with me, but he got laid off from his job, and backed out on his 2000rnds, so I had to pay for them.
Should I just sell the extra ammo i have now, or is this pretty good ammo and worth keeping around? Im sure I would eventually use it, but thats a lot of money I wasnt planning on spending.. what do you guys think?

Fiocchi is some of my very favorite centerfire ammunition. I have not used the heavier 130gr bullets but have fired thousands of rounds of their standard 115gr loadings in pistols and sub machineguns and it always works wonderfully. The Fiocchi 9mm ammo is loaded hotter than most American made 9mm so it tends to work great in those "finicky" European automatics which never seem to function quite right (mostly due to to the weak USA made 9mm ammo) like Grandpa's old Luger pistol. With the current ammunition frenzy in effect you should have no trouble selling any of your excess, but you won't find better commercial 9mm ammo than that Fiocchi...IMHO. 0 -
I have not used the 9mm but I have shot tons of the 45acp without a hitch,I like it 0 -
Im glad to hear that its quality ammo. Im still not sure if I can justify having 4000 rounds total. I might get a sellers account on gunbroker and get rid of 1000rnds or so... Thanks to all

Thing about ammo these days is that you won't lose money on the deal. I'd probably sit on it for a while if I could afford to, ammo is a good investment, especially in these troubling times.0 -

Shoot half of it up then you will get your practice in and you will only have 2k on hand [:D]
Seriously though I am in a similar boat with .40 cal ammo I have. I bought one case when I got the gun and shot most of it up so I ordered a second since I didnt have time to reload. Shortly after I got a sale email ad for the same ammo at about $30/case off so I ordered 2 more, just cause. I only had a pistol at that time but had a rifle on order so I figured I would burn though it faster. I also picked up a couple k of bullets for reloading too. Well I never got the rifle so I am not burning thought it too fast. I have thought about getting rid of some of it then I remember how much longer I do plan on shooting and what it is going to cost me. Here is the kicker for you, I paid $150/1000 for the ammo when it was on sale. I dont think you can even get 500 for that now.......
I have shot a lot of the .40 and .45 from them. Good stuff.0 -
Considering the current political situation, 4000 rounds of a popular ammo like 9mm might be worth more than you can get out of it now. Unless your kids will go hungry because you keep it, my advice is to hold it at least another 6 months. This brand of ammo is as good as any other. 0 -
