7mm WSM Accuracy and Useability?

I was wondering how the 7mm WSM turned out to be accuracy wise? Anyone have any experience with it? What size game would it be useful for (coyote, deer, bear, moose, elk?)?

    The cartridge itself is being fielded in just about every 1,000 yard benchrest match. I've seen it go to Africa for Plains Game and for those that bother to take the time to study ballistics, it performs just dandy on almost every type of North American game.

    As to accuracy though, there is a lot more to accuracy than just the cartridge itself. The entire rifle system figures in, the scope of choice and the biggest detractor from any accuracy development, you the shooter. Any little piece of any of these factors will affect your accuracy. To the same extent, you can't use low quality components to assemble loads and expect it to be accurate.

    By comparison, this cartridge is similar to the 7mm Rem. Mag.

    i'm not a benchrest guy, but i did pick out a 7mmWSM for a good friend in Kansas, and he loves it. nailed a nice whitetail at well over 350 yards last fall. i load 154 grain hornady bullets for him. i'd be confident on any non-dangerous game, as well as on black bears.

    I have a Kimber 8400 with a Swarovski scope and Talley mounts. It shoots under 1in but not "Dime Groups" I was hoping for. I haven't hunted with it yet.

    It's my uber-long range accuracy rifle caliber. I shoot 180 gr. Berger VLD's and JLK out of it. I have finally gotten to take it out west and shoot at 2000 yd. targets....and hit a large target(abandoned car in desert). It took a few times. I use a Winchester Coyote with a muzzle break and the action is bedded. Original stock and barrel. It shoots about .5 MOA @ 100 yds. with the load tuned right.

    Yes it can be very accurate. As accurate as any rifle out there if you build/modify the rifle right. Then prep the brass and load the rounds.
