after market "AR" buffers-hype?

hi,finishing up a home build in a larger caliber,and i'm looking at ways to lessen muzzle climb and recoil.i've seen several buffer replacements that claim to do this(enidine for one)but before i drop 100 bucks,do these work in semi-autos?also any suggestions about these or similar products for a 16"threaded,6.8,mid length gas system,a2 OR m4 buffer/tube/stock(i have both to work with)much appreciated,thanks
