Are Stag Arms AR15 Lower receivers o.k.?

Thanks for all of the info on AR15's; I now own a Bushmaster XM15-E2S and now I'm hooked on the AR15..I have enough surplus AR15 barrels, stocks etc to build several more rifles (I'm thinking of a carbine next); I just need lower receivers. I have a chance to trade for several Stag Arms or Rock River Arms lower receivers; are these any good; better or worse than others? All of the other parts that I will be using are GI surplus; I'm just ignorant of the different companies that market lower receivers. If Stag or Rock River Arms is a good brand, I will buy them and start building. I have no idea which is better or if the brand of the lower means much as far as quality is concerned. Thanks

    Bought 5 Stag lowers a couple of years ago. Just finished my final build. No problems.

    The lower really doesn't mean much. Get the one you like the looks of it. Fit and finish will be similar, some come with Teflon coatings, ect. The money needs to be spent on the upper depending on what you want to do with the upper.

    Stag and Rock River lowers are made by the same company. I should say, before all this craziness, the two lowers were made by the same company. I got a RRA lower a few weeks ago that was made by someone else. On an RRA lower, if the serial number prefix is CM, it was made by Continental Machine Tool Company, Inc. Which is the Mother company to Stag. The owner of Stag is the son of the owner of Continental Machine Tool Company. The number of companies that actually manufacturer their own lowers can be counted on one hand. The number of AR manufacturers is much bigger then that, guess who makes those parts? [;)] Any way, you get the drift.
