colt ar15
I'm looking for a Colt AR15 with 20" gov't profile 1-7"twist barrel in either A2 or A4 version. Does anyone know if that combo exists or where to find it?

I HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PICK UP A COLT COMP HBAR MATCH TARGET AT WHAT I THINK IS A GOOD PRICE. GUN IS LNIB AND HAS THE 20" HEAVY BARREL AND THE REMOVABLE CARRY HANDLE. PRICE = $750.00. GUN IS A POST BAN. HOW DO THEY SHOOT AND IS THAT A GOOD PRICE? WHAT KIND OF GROUPS WILL IT SHOOT AT 100 YARDS? WITH A GOOD SCOPE. THANKS.

All Colt AR rifles in the CMH serial number range are supposed to be post ban. This is still vital information for those areas (like New York State) where assault weapon restrictions restrictions remain in place. 0 -
The model you have can be identified by the product code on the end of the original box if you have it, OR by what is stamped on your lower receiver. If the receiver is not stamped "Colt AR-15", then you don't have an AR-15. If it is stamped "Colt Target Match HBAR", then you have a Colt Target Match HBAR (or whatever else it may be stamped).
While biggerhammer is a great help to us, we really need to change our categories. We now have "preban", "ban", & "postban", since the ban was dropped from federal law. As Mark points out, it does make a difference depending upon what city/county/state you live in.
