Gloss up flat plastic grips
Gents:
Just got a factory new set of Star BM grips; these are the original black plastic for this model, and I got them from a gent in Spain. However, when I received them, I noticed that they are a much "flatter" black plastic; not semi-shiney like the originals. I wonder if the originals started life like this, and just got "polished" over the years of duty use?
At any rate, what would you do to ad that semi-glossy look to them? I thought maybe spray some semi-gloss laquor on them, but would that hold up? How about some acrylic Future floor wax? Floor wax is pretty tough stuff, and that might do the trick?

I doubt that the spray would hold up very long. There are polishes you can use on plastic. Some people have used Flitz on plastic before to gloss it up. Might give that a shot. 0 -
Brasso will work to polish plastic 0 -
Tooth paste makes a good polish also....... 0 -
Nevr-Dull works on most anything 0
