winchester 1873

Dokey
I have found a 1873 22short, however, it
can be converted to shoot longs with the
movement of a bullet stop located on the side
of the block.
The gun operates well, the finish is better
than 50% and the wood is ok.
Is this gun really rare? What is it worth?
any help will be greatly appreciated.

    1923. Those were assembled from the existing parts inventory.

    If so, you have a non-factory original rifle. Winchester stopped production of the .22 rimfire caliber Model 1873s in 1904.

    Winchester discontinued the Model 1873 in 1919, but continued to assemble parts clean-up guns until 1925 (when all remaining parts were exhausted). Total production is listed as just under 721,000.
