11-87 super mag experts - need help
Ok.need some help pro's - I'm looking at 2 different Rem 11-87 Super mags. Trying to figure out the exact differences..
Part # 83601 - this is the Special Purpose Syn Turkey
Part # 83605 - this is the super mag Predator
From what I can see these are the exact same guns, except the 83605 has the extended mag - 3 more shells ? They also appear to come with slightly different chokes, and the 83601 has a gun sling
Both have the Shurshot stock in camo, 23in barrel, tru glow, 3 ? in
I was looking at the specs and this is where I'm really confused ( not sure this is correct) .. It say's the 83605 is 2 inches longer, yet ? pound lighter? I would think it weighs more with the extended mag capability ? and how can it be longer? Again, I'm not sure these specs were correct. Any insight to the actual differences would be greatly appreciated.

not sure but,my guess is the 83605 has a longer buttstock or recoil pad..and the weight diff. may be one has a LC or light contour bar.as do 2 3/4 -3" 11-87s,I am not sure if the super mag came with this weight saving option,meaning the LC does weigh less than the standard 11-87 in the premier series,also the shorter gun is probably so it is easier to shoulder ,sitting down while turkey hunting,.again just a guess..Loko 0 -
Before making any major gun purchase (even if I know that I will ultimately be buying it on GB at a better price), I always go to one of my local giant sporting goods stores (Scheels, Gander Mountain, Dicks) and actually handle and inspect the desired firearm model in person. That way, I can pre-tryout the stock fit and overall balance of the gun. You should do the same. That way, you can do a side-by-side comparison. I spend plenty of money at these stores purchasing other slightly smaller ticket items, so I don't feel guily in the least by slightly taking advantage of their 'large gun inventory' and the salesperson's time. 0
