Schwarzlose Pistol Info Needed
I have this old Schwarzlose squeeze cocking pistol, tha was brought back from the war. This piece has a machinegun on a tripod stamped in the right side of the slide with Schwarzlose above it. The other side says A W. Schwarzlose G.m.b.H Berlin. It is in good shape and I was curious what it could be worth? Thanks in advance for any info about it.

Hello this is a model 1908 7.65 auto BLOW-FORWARD magazine holds 7 rounds. strange action breach block says put but barrel slides forward when fired . Rather rare design and pistol a very small group of collectors would love to own one but most people would not pay much . There is a person THAT name starts with something like HorstHXXX that would be interested and may have an idea on value at least to him[:I][:o)][:0]

The last one I saw was in excellent condition and sold for $500, but that was a few years back. Most examples of this pistol found here in the USA are from Warner Arms, which took over production from Schwarzlose in around 1912. These were interesting little pistols but the design really offered no clear advantage over the by then well established "blow back" operation (as opposed to blow forward). My old boss had one of these pistols and the grip safety was stiff and the little gun actually had a bit of a kick to it, much harder than (say a) 7.65mm Ortgies pistol or a FN/Browning. 0
