Value of Winchester model 1300 shotgun

I have a Winchester Model pump action Ranger 20 ga. shotgun, new in the box and never used. Serial number L2635072. It has a 28" VR barrel with Winchoke set. It is considered a historic gun as it was taken out of production despite its good reputation. Can someone be kind to provide me a blue book value on this gun so that I can sell it?

    Since the 1300 is a post 1964 Winchester design, it is not considered a historic collectible.

    Around here those guns seem to bring 250-300 bucks.

    You need to keep in mind that simply taking a gun out of production does not automatically make it a historic collectible, it simply means that a marketing choice was made to no longer offer it. The 1300 was a good shotgun but collector interest is minimal, although new in the box examples are not easy to find and will bring a premium to the right buyer. $300 would seem about right and don't forget that in addition to the box you'll also need to have the paperwork, hang tag and any other little items that came with the gun for value above being a nice "shooter".

    Unless you find just the right buyer, It's going to be a slow seller at $300. Remember, even though it may be "new in box", it's still a used gun, without warrenty, and not really collectable. In other words, it's a "shooter". I'd say $200 - $250 would be more realistic. There are still dealers that have unsold 1300's on their shelves.

    The shop up the street just sold a 12 ga Winchester 1300 youth used for 250 today. It was in 80% condition.

    Sold a Black Shadow 1300 with turkey and slug barrels for $325, lightly used. Hated the bruises I got on my cheek from that thing.

    Thank you for taking the time to reply to my past inquiry about the value of my Winchester 1300 Ranger 20 ga. shotgun. I don't know what paperwork I would need but the box contains a lifetime warranty on the Winchoke tubes, a little instructional booklet for 3 different models, expired warranties and a tag with descriptions and specifications about the gun (is this called a hang tag?). After surfing for the price on the gun, I found one used model listed for $295 in Texas and another one with a gloss American walnut stock sold for $325. Last winter, that site once had a model like mine in 95% mint condition listed for $575. I couldn't believe my eyes. Hence, I was unsure about the price so that's why I came over here. So I think $275 -$300 sounds like a fair price. There seems to be a limited number of Winchester 1300 Ranger 20 gauges models out there so maybe that would help the value somewhat. Again thanks guys for your input. This is an awesome website.
