.300 & .338 Encore extractor problems
Anybody have trouble with the extractor on an Encore hitting the belt on the cartridge of a .338 win mag or a .300 win mag.Both my barrels are hard to load,I have to wiggle the cartridge around to get it in the chamber.Any way to fix this?

I have quite a few Encores and the problem you describe is pretty much the result of using a rimless (and belted) case in the Encore. The extractor is powered by a leaf type spring housed in the barrel's underlug. Drift out the pin that holds in the extractor and pull the extractor out through the front, then relieve tension a bit on the leaf spring.
You can also clean up the leading top outer edges of the extractor just a bit, but you of course have to be careful to not do too much and compromise function.0
