Information on a pistol (browing's patent depose)

I have a pistol that was given to me by my great uncle. He was in world war II. There are no markings on this pistol to say what caliber the gun is. It is listed in the documentation given by the us forces European theater headquarters certificate as a Belgium pistol 25cal. Would anyone know the make and model of the gun and the possible value of the gun. The certificate is dated 10/11/1945.

browing's patent depose

    It's what appears to be a nickel plated Model 1906 Browning. The "bring back" papers are a plus, value wise. Unfortunately it's in kind of rough condition, and it's questionable if the nickel plating is factory original? Hard to price, as only the "bring back" papers would add to basic value.

    Since your pistol lacks the manual safety on the left side of the frame, it is the first version of the Model 1906. It was probably made during the first several years of production, as the manual safety was added at serial number 100,000. The caliber as noted is 25 Automatic.
