Can someone tell me how much a Winchester Model 1912,model#160761
nickel steel with #11 under the butt plate mite be worth. Need to
know how much insurance to put on it.It was made for Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, LA
The barrel and recever is nickel steel. It is abount 95cent.

    I have a Winchester Model 1912 that has been handed down through family. Serial #176334 - est date of manufacture is 1918 - It is in Good to Excellent shape (Small chip off of the butt plate and triangular piece of the wood in same location) Could you possibly give me a value for it? I presently use it to hunt Ducks/Geese and am wondering if I should be looking at putting this one in storage and getting something to bang around with. Depending on what you can give me as an estimated value, it may help with my decision...

    Hello dane62,

    Yes, all 12 gauge Winchester Model 1912's and 12's were chambered for the 2 3/4" shell, with the exception of the Heavy Duck Guns, which were chambered for 2 3/4" & 3" shells (your serial number is too early for it to be a Heavy Duck Gun).
