Does anyone make reloading dies for these wsm cartridges? Or reloadable brass?

    Trying to deside which rifle to buy for white tail deer hunting:
    1. 7 mm WSM
    2. 7 mm Mag.
    3. 30-06
    Shooting range 150-500 yards. People have told me that the 7mmMag will be too big. Need some advise on the 7mm WSM. I know for sure that the 30-06 will be suitable. Your advise will be greatly appreciated.

    If you want to use Hornady bullets, get a Hornady manual. Pick the powder of choice, and go buy some, (if you can find any). Do not mix, and match bullets, manuals, and powders!!! It may be fine, but it may not be fine. Be safe. HAWKSHAW

    My brother reloads 140 Grain Nosler AccuBonds with 68.2 grains of H4831sc. He had loaded the Hornady InterBonds with 66 grains of the H4831sc. I hope this helps, but the usual disclaimer and make sure you confirm these loads elsewhere.

    i have imr 4350 imr 4064 and just picked up imr 4831. not much selection but this is what i have.

    I normally load 168's and 180's in my 7 WSM but I did load up some 139 gr. SST's to how they shot for accuracy. I used 65.2 gr. of H4831x. The book shows that as right up near max so start three grains low and work up. I was getting right around 3100 in a 24" barrel with it. It's just my opinion but that speed of powder would probably work best for that weight. The 4350 would be better suited to 120/130 gr. bullets and the 4064 better suited to 100/110's. Again, just my opinion.

    The new Reloder 17 is made for the short mags, and as soon as I run out of H-4831 I'll use some of it and see.....

    Your supply of IMR-4831 will be perfect for using in combination with your SST's. But as 'mrbruce' points out, there are a couple of new powders that have been developed for these style cases and capacities.

    I have also used V V N-160 with good results. An acquaintance of mine used the Hybrid 100V for all of his 7mm WSM loads that he took to Africa last year on his plains game hunt.

    thanks for the info. i will try the imr 4831 first then if it dont work i will look into the new powders you mentioned. i will be running this load through a savage model 11 with a vias muzzle break. just got this from the auction side. excited about tryin it out. thanks again for the input.
