side by side barrel ding

Can a ding in a side by side shotgun barrel be fixed or must the barrels be replaced? If so what can I expect to pay? Thank you, Joe.

  there is a way to raise the dent, someone will be along who knows how to do it, fairly common repair but probably an art to it

  Replacing barrels on most SxS shotguns is almost impossible due to cost and fitting.
  
  There is a tool referred to as a Hydraulic Dent raiser or Dent Removing tool. The photographs are self-explanatory:
  
  
  
  
  
  This one runs between $390 to $450.00 new and less for pre-owned. If you don't feel the need to own such a tool, there are gunsmiths that will handle the job for you for a smaller fee.
